Ewan McGregor is one of my all time favourite actors and general all round nice guy, plus he grew up not that far away from me.

I did all of the portrait in Painter 11 with a few minor colour tweaks near the end in PS.
Once I had the colours I wanted blocked in I used the Grainy Blenders, the Artists Impressionist and some Chalk brushes for details.
I added a simple paper texture once the painting was completed.

XD Yeah, me and my friends were making a youtube video. It was going to be about who should play these characters from a favorite book of ours in an upcoming movie. We were looking for pictures of the actor, and I was ABOUT to put it in, until my friend was all like "Wait, that might actually be a drawing!" And i was like *gasp* lol XD
