I thought I'd try my hand at yet another "Twilight" piece of art.
The ref image is in my Scraps. [link] I used both Photoshop and Painter this time and switched between the two depending on what effect I was after. I did find that Photoshop was easier for doing the small details, but I am so loving the different styles of brushes in Painter. I just wish I could go back more than 32 steps when I make a mistake... it's that control thing again!! Anyway I hope it's as popular as my other Twilight portrait. INFO Created using Photoshop CS3, Painter X and a Wacom Intuos3 tablet. Twilight and its' characters are owned and © by Stephenie Meyer |

I did make a few mistakes with the facial structures when I was adding the shadow colours... Edward at one point looked like he had a broken nose.
Glad you liked it.

I'm still getting used to Painter, I think I was a bit too heavy handed with Edward's 5 o'clock shadow - part of the learning process I suppose.
Thanks for the feedback.

What brushes do you use in Painter X? Is it oils/blender? I tried using those and they don't work so good on fine details.
